REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> Page 4 <br /> OPTION "E" - Payment by Other than Water Meter <br /> 1. Convert from water meter as basis of payment to direct service <br /> unit. <br /> 2. As of 11-1-77, there are 40 ,682 water meters and we calculate that <br /> there are 40 , 876 service units . Formula agreed on is single-family <br /> home is one service unit, small business not on bins is one unit, <br /> each part of duplex is 0 . 85 unit , each part of triplex or above is <br /> 0 . 75 unit. Those on bin service are not included. <br /> OPTION "F" - Three Year Constant Rate, Exclusive Franchise on Residential <br /> Bin Service Only <br /> 1. Same as Option "C" except they get exclusive franchise on all resi- <br /> dential bins for apartments, etc. , but with open competition on <br /> commercial and industrial bin service . <br /> 2. Cost not available from contractor until end of December. <br /> A copy of this report will be delivered to the contractor on Friday, December <br /> 16 .
