Public Hearing to Consider Adjustments <br /> to the Refuse Collection Rate <br /> July 5, 1994 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Increases as they occur must be passed on to the curbside refuse <br /> customer if the refuse collection enterprise is to remain self- <br /> supporting. Staff recommends approval of a resolution that sets the <br /> refuse rate effective July 1, 1994 and provides for the adjustment <br /> of the rate as changes in refuse disposal, collection and recycling <br /> become effective. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The increase required to pay for the final phase of the City' s <br /> recycling program is estimated at a cost of $550 , 600 in fiscal year <br /> 94-95. The increase due for cost of living adjustments is <br /> estimated to cost $30 , 100 in the 94-95 fiscal year. Both are <br /> contractual obligations of the agreement with the City' s refuse <br /> contractor and were effective July 1, 1994 .
