four (4) bulky items per pick-up request. Such collection services <br /> shall provide the opportunity of having large objects, and other <br /> solid waste which is not required to be picked up pursuant to this <br /> Agreement, picked up and processed properly. Requests by curbside <br /> service units for such collections shall be made directly to the <br /> CONTRACTOR who shall provide satisfactory telephone message <br /> receiving, transmitting and response procedures and who shall be <br /> responsible for maintaining a log of such large item collections. <br /> At demand pick ups shall be responded to by CONTRACTOR within a <br /> reasonable time but no more than five (5) working days after such <br /> a request is received. Requests for more than two (2) at-demand <br /> collections per year shall cost thirty ($30. 00) dollars per <br /> collection and shall be billed to the curbside service unit <br /> requesting the additional collection by the CONTRACTOR. <br /> (b) CONTRACTOR shall provide assistance of removal of bulky <br /> items on private property to senior citizens and the disabled at no <br /> cost. <br /> 20. CURBSIDE SERVICE RATES: <br /> (a) The CONTRACTOR shall receive compensation from the CITY <br /> for supplying curbside service. The total number of curbside <br /> service units is stipulated to be 40, 030 as of November 1, 1992. <br /> Such number shall be redetermined on April 1st of each subsequent <br /> calendar year by the Executive Director. <br /> (b) Rates to be paid to the CONTRACTOR for curbside service <br /> shall be as follows beginning on July 1, 1993 : <br /> Hauling and Processing Charge $ 4 . 68 <br /> Gate Fee $ 4 .02 <br /> Total Curbside Service Rate $ 8 . 70 per month <br /> (c) Rates to be paid to the CONTRACTOR for curbside service <br /> shall be as follows beginning on January 1, 1994 : <br /> Hauling and Processing Charge $ 6 . 05 <br /> Gate Fee $ 3 . 65 <br /> Total Curbside Service Rate $ 9 . 70 per month <br /> (d) Rates to be paid to the CONTRACTOR for curbside service <br /> shall be as follows beginning on July 1, 1994 : <br /> Hauling and Processing Charge $ 7 . 51 <br /> Gate Fee $ 3 . 29 <br /> Total Curbside Service Rate $ 10. 80 per month <br /> 17 <br />
