in a size and to a weight easily handled by one man will be <br /> considered as solid waste; <br /> (7) Large, heavy items not broken down, greater in <br /> dimension than four feet in length, and eighteen inches in <br /> thickness and fifty pounds, including, without limitation, water <br /> heaters, couches, tables, refrigerators, stoves, and large pieces <br /> of furniture or household equipment shall be considered bulky items <br /> which may be disposed of under the provisions of Section 19; <br /> (8) All kitchen waste, ashes, hair clippings, floor <br /> sweeping and similar light materials must be securely wrapped to <br /> prevent spillage and to protect the public health and safety. Hot <br /> ashes will not be collected; and, <br /> (9) CONTRACTOR shall not be required to pick up and <br /> collect more than 200 pounds (including containers) for any <br /> business or professional curbside service unit. <br /> (b) The aforementioned size limitations shall not apply to <br /> Christmas trees properly placed for collection. <br /> (c) Whenever any solid waste which does not comply with the <br /> above standards and limitations is not collected by CONTRACTOR, <br /> CONTRACTOR shall leave a notice, the format of which is subject to <br /> the approval of the CITY, indicating the reason for non-collection <br /> at such curbside service unit. Said notice shall also contain the <br /> CONTRACTOR'S business name and his local telephone number. A copy <br /> of said notice shall be delivered, or sent via telephone facsimile, <br /> to the CITY on the day immediately following such non-collection <br /> and, if the reason for noncollection is not corrected within seven <br /> (7) days, CONTRACTOR shall notify the CITY as to this continued <br /> noncollection. <br /> 12. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY CONTRACTOR TO CITY FOR CITY <br /> OPERATIONS: <br /> (a) CITY SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS: CONTRACTOR shall collect all <br /> solid waste placed in CITY owned solid waste containers, not <br /> including bus shelter solid waste containers, on arterial streets <br /> within the CITY at least one time per week at no cost to the CITY. <br /> Further, it shall be CONTRACTOR'S responsibility to collect all <br /> solid waste in the area immediately within ten feet of an <br /> identified CITY owned solid waste container. The CITY will provide <br /> CONTRACTOR with a list identifying CITY solid waste containers. <br /> The list identifying the CITY solid waste containers may be <br /> modified from time to time as deemed necessary by the Executive <br /> Director, provided, however, that the total number of CITY <br /> containers from which solid waste is to be collected does not <br /> exceed two hundred (200) . CONTRACTOR shall coordinate collection <br /> of such solid waste with the Executive Director so as to ensure <br /> collection of such solid waste at the appropriate times for the <br /> CITY. <br /> (b) CITY GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS: CONTRACTOR shall collect all <br /> solid waste which is generated by CITY government operations.
