NS -2913 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 2016 -03 REZONING <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 415 AND 423 SOUTH RAITT STREET FROM SINGLE - <br />FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (R -1) TO OPEN SPACE LAND (0) <br />The City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Service Agency ( PRCSA) is requesting <br />to rezone two parcels of land from residential to open space to allow the construction of a future <br />public park. At this time, PRCSA has not yet conducted any technical studies and park designs <br />have not been drafted. This action is solely a land use action required in order to facilitate the <br />future construction of such park and to assure the park will be in conformance with the City's <br />General Plan and Zoning designations. As part of this application, staff will amend the General <br />Plan Land Use Element text and map and zoning map. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5 - Community Health, Livability, <br />Engagement & Sustainability, Objective 6 (focus projects and programs on improving the health <br />and wellness of all residents.), Strategy F (incorporate health, wellness, and equity into all <br />applicable policies and plans). <br />1113-1 <br />
