FOR THE FIRST STREET APARTMENTS PROJECT; AND <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENTS FOR THE LOAN AGREEMENTS <br />{STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 5,3C) <br />Consideration of matter continued from the February 7, 2017 City Council <br />meeting by a vote of 6 -0 ( Villegas absent). <br />At its regular meeting on January 25, 2017, by a vote of 6 -0 the Community <br />Redevelopment and Housing Commission recommended that the City Council <br />and Housing Authority approve the recommended actions. <br />The following spoke on the matter: <br />• Isuri Ramos, representing Kennedy Commission, spoke in support of <br />affordable housing. <br />• Joese Hernandez, member of OCCORD, requested citizenship fairs and <br />public comments to be at the beginning of the meeting; request affordable <br />housing in light of sanctuary city designation. <br />• Nancy Mejia, representing Latino Health Access, requested quality housing. <br />• Roberto Herrera, spoke on behalf of residents that need dignified housing <br />options. <br />• Alexis Teodoro, member of Resilience OC, expressed strong support for <br />access to land and organizations that support those efforts. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 32 FEBRUARY 21, 2017 <br />1 OA -32 <br />
