SAAS assisted with <br />the development of curriculum and logistics of scheduling for 10 Traffic Safety 101 <br />classes. Members of SAAS served as course instructors and outreached to recruit <br />participants through existing networks and social media. SAAS coordinated and hosted <br />10 bicycle light and helmet distributions at busy corner intersections in the city. The program included coordinating eight <br />educational workshops on active transportation policy and advocacy in which 50 adult <br />and youth residents participated. SAAS facilitated the development of a youth led <br />advocacy project for a bike trail extension that connected low- income neighborhoods <br />to the downtown area.
