Bid Opening is changed from September 15, 2016 to September 22, 2016; time and location stay the <br />same. <br />2. Revise Section 8 — Field Office Facilities last sentence from: Items 10, 11, and 12 shall become property <br />of the City of Santa Ana to Items 12, 13, and 14 shall become property of the City of Santa Ana. <br />3. Revise Appendix A Bid Item No. 17 - 14" PVC Forced Main Installed Deeper Than 1 -Foot But Less <br />Than 3 -Feet: the unit bid price shall be LF. <br />4. Revise Appendix A Bid Item No. 27 Traffic Loops: the unit bid price shall be EA. <br />5. Add the following section: <br />3-6 COST REDUCTION INCENTIVE <br />Add the following section 3-6: <br />In accordance with the provisions of the California Public Contract Code, Section 7101, "Extra <br />Compensation," the Contractor may submit to the Engineer, in writing, proposals for modifying the <br />plans, specifications, or other requirements of the contract for the sole purpose of reducing the total cost <br />of construction. The cost reduction proposal shall not impair, in any manner, the essential functions or <br />characteristics of the project, including but not limited to: service life, economy of operations, ease of <br />maintenance, desired appearance, or design and safety standards. <br />Cost reduction proposals shall contain the following information: <br />1. A description of both the existing contract requirements for performing the work and proposed <br />changes. <br />2.
