AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA BARRICADE RENTALS, INC. <br />FOR PROVISION, INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC <br />BARRICADES FOR VARIOUS CITY EVENTS <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 21 `t day of March, 2017 by and between <br />California Barricade Rentals, Inc. ( "Contractor "), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of <br />California ( "City "). <br />RECITALS <br />A. The City desires to retain a contractor having special skill and knowledge in the field of <br />providing, installing, maintaining, and removing traffic control equipment for various <br />City hosted events. <br />B. On January] 8, 2017, the City issued a Request for Proposals for various event services. <br />C. The one proposal for traffic services was received from California Barricades which <br />competently has provided traffic control for various events for the past couple of years. <br />D. In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Contractor represents that it is <br />knowledgeable in this field and that any services performed by Contractor under this <br />Agreement will be performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be <br />expected from a professional firm in the field. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terns and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: <br />I. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Contractor shall provide, install, set -up, maintain and remove traffic barricade equipment <br />for City hosted events. The Contractor is also expected to coordinate with various City <br />departments and other contractors associated with the event. Once a plan has been approved by <br />City (authorized representative), the Contractor will sign a notice -to- proceed letter, agreeing to <br />comply with the scope of the plan. Equipment to be provided by the Contractor includes, but is <br />not limited to items listed above. City may request additional equipment or services during the <br />term of the Agreement at prices identified in the price listing. If a requested item is not listed on <br />the price listings the City will negotiate a price with the company. <br />2. COMPENSATION <br />a. City agrees to pay, and Contractor agrees to accept as total payment for its services <br />and equipment, the rates and charges identified in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by <br />reference. The total sum to be expended under this Agreement shall not exceed Seventy <br />Thousand Dollars ($70,000) for each annual term.
