Sylvia Vazquez, Community Development Analyst, noted the zone change will not <br />affect the funding as the city had acquired the sites through CDBG (Community <br />Development Block Grants) and proceeds went into the housing fund for the <br />development of affordable housing. <br />Commissioner Contreras -Leo noted concern on the changing of zoning without a <br />community outreach program. <br />MOTION: <br />Recommend that the City Council: <br />1. PLANNING MANAGER UPDATES <br />Candida Neal <br />• Introduced and welcomed the new Planning Commission Secretary, Sarah <br />Bernal, who transferred from the Community Development Agency. <br />• General Plan Status Update — Completed the Request for Proposal process for <br />consultants to assist with the technical studies with the General Plan Update; <br />and announced the first General Plan Advisory Group (GPAG) meeting will be <br />held the first week in February. <br />• Thanked Commissioners for their interest in the Planning Commissioners <br />Academy. <br />5.
