Plan <br />Orange County and Goodwill Industries of Orange County who support programs and provide services to <br />historically high -need and disadvantaged communities. OCAPICA and other youth providers contributed strategic <br />guidance to serve out -of- school youth and foster youth in the OC Region. <br />M' Career Technical Education (CTE) — Partners: OC Pathways and OC Department of Education, represents CTE <br />development and integration related to workforce development and has provided comprehensive data and analysis <br />of industry workforce credentials at the community college and high school level in the OC Region. <br />9, Business — Economic Development: The OC Region worked with the Orange County Business Council, members <br />of the OC Network, and the OC Economic Development Working Group to include business and economic <br />development input into the OC Regional Plan. This strategic feedback aligns regional activity to positively impact <br />the ongoing economic vitality of the region. <br />Adult Education Block Grant Consortia: All four Orange County Adult Education Block Grant (AEBG) consortia <br />have been invited and have participated in the OC Regional Leadership Council. <br />Comprehensive Development Strategy Committee (CEDS): CEDS is committed to focusing change on areas <br />Identified as distressed or vulnerable to distress; to improve communities identified as "Red Zones" in the region. <br />IE Slingshot Coalition: The SlingShot Coalition (led by industry) serves not only as a director of Slingshot activities <br />and policy, but as a think tank on workforce and economic development issues for the OC Region with formal <br />commitment from industry leaders and community partners to support the regional strategy and make specific <br />contributions to regional workforce development activities. <br />ESTABLISHING REGIONAL C®ALs The OC Region RPU, through the creation of the OC Regional Leadership Council, <br />have met quarterly in 2015 and monthly in 2016 to support Joint development of OC Regional goals. <br />• Key partners and stakeholders (members listed previously in Section 2Aii) shared best practices and priorities /goals <br />for the entities they represented. This data was collected and integrated into a cross walk of all partner regional <br />goals. This process strengthened communication, coordination, and decision - making between regional partners. <br />• Regional labor market information provided by EDD gave the Leadership Council context by which to review, <br />evaluate, and revise regional goals for the OC Regional Plan. <br />Page 23 <br />19D -38 <br />
