Agreement with David Volz Design for Consulting Architectural Design Services <br />April 4, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />In November 2016, six proposals were received. The proposals were evaluated by personnel <br />from the Public Works Agency and the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency. <br />Each firm was rated according to its firm /team experience, understanding of need, relevant <br />project experience, schedule, references, and proposed cost and pricing data. Staff requests authorization of a 10 percent design services contingency of <br />$20,456, which results in the total agreement amount not to exceed $225,019. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 - Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (Establish and Maintain a Community Investment Plan for All City <br />Assets), Strategy G (Develop and Implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />Coordination with the Community Investment and Deferred Maintenance Plans). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds have been budgeted and are available for expenditure in the Residential Development <br />District 2 In -Lieu Funding Account (No. 31213261- 66220, Project 15- 2645). Any unspent, <br />encumbered balance will be carried forward into subsequent fiscal years as needed to fulfill the <br />agreement.
