C -6 -1516 <br />EXHIBIT B <br />responsible bidder in accordance with the AUTHORITY's Board of Director's approved procedures for <br />public works projects after a sealed bidding process. <br />4.1 CONSTRUCTION COORDINATION <br />The AUTHORITY is responsible for providing all direction to the Construction Contractor. Any <br />CITY direction related to AUTHORITY Project construction shall be directed through the <br />AUTHORITY's Project Manager or designee, who will coordinate with the Construction Contractor, <br />supplier, inspector, or designer. <br />The CITY shall approve all construction phasing affecting CITY Right of Way including <br />amendments to the Plans and Specifications. <br />4.2 BUSINESS ACCESS <br />The AUTHORITY shall coordinate with the CITY and shall reasonably minimize impacts to <br />vehicle and pedestrian access to affected businesses. <br />4.3 STREET CLOSURES & TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />The CITY recognizes that street closures are necessary for construction of the Project and will <br />be identified to the extent possible in the Plans and Specifications. Regardless, the AUTHORITY is <br />required to submit traffic control plans and possible street closures for CITY approval in advance to <br />all street closures related to the Project. The AUTHORITY shall submit all requests for street closures, <br />regardless of duration, a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of the proposed closure and the CITY <br />shall approve, approve with conditions, or not approve such street closures within twenty -one (21) <br />days of such submittals. Once a closure has been approved, AUTHORITY shall notify the public <br />consistent with CITY traffic control requirements and Project Specifications. <br />The AUTHORITY will be responsible for all traffic signing and striping modifications and <br />additions necessary to provide safe and efficient vehicular and pedestrian movements during the <br />Project. All temporary traffic control shall be in compliance with the Work Area Traffic Control <br />Handbook (latest edition) or the California Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (latest edition) <br />as applicable. <br />Exhibit B <br />Page 3 <br />25F -23 <br />
