Executive Summary <br />AP -05 Executive Summary - 24 CFR 91.200(c), 91.220(b) <br />1. Introduction <br />The Annual Plan outlines housing, community and economic development needs, priorities, strategies, <br />and projects that will be undertaken by the City of Santa Ana with the funds that the City receives from <br />the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As an entitlement jurisdiction, the City <br />receives an annual share of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG,) Emergency Solutions <br />(ESG) and HOME Program funds. In order to receive these entitlements, the City must submit a <br />Consolidated Plan every five years to HUD and an Annual Action Plan every year. The funds are intended <br />to provide low -to moderate- income households with affordable housing, a healthy and safe living <br />environment, and expanded economic opportunities. Eligible activities include community facilities and <br />improvements, housing rehabilitation and preservation, development activities, public services, <br />economic development, planning, and program administration. <br />2. Summarize the objectives and outcomes identified in the Plan <br />This could be a restatement of items or a table listed elsewhere in the plan or a reference to <br />another location.
