LAR 4/13117 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO, 2015 -026 TO <br />AMEND THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLAN FOR CERTAIN CLASSIFICATIONS <br />OF EMPLOYMENT DESIGNATED AS UNREPRESENTED <br />EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br />B. On June 16, 2015, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 2015 -026 amending and re- establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for all Full -Time and Part -Time Classifications of <br />Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. Attached hereto and <br />marked as Exhibit 'W" and incorporated by reference is Resolution No. <br />2015 -026. <br />C. The City of Santa Ana's Basic Compensation and Benefit Plan for classes <br />of employment designated as Unrepresented Executive Management <br />(EM) as set forth in Resolution No. 2015 -026, is attached to Exhibit 1" as <br />Exhibit "A" to the City's Resolution No. 2015 -026. <br />D. The City Council has amended and reestablished the Basic Classification <br />and Compensation Plans on numerous occasions since adoption. <br />Section 2: If any member of the Unrepresented Executive Management (EM) <br />classification is assigned to the position of "Acting" City Manager by acting, <br />interim, temporary or emergency appointment lasting longer than thirty (30) days, <br />they shall be compensated $1.00 more annually than the highest compensated <br />Unrepresented Executive Management (EM) member, including the Chief of <br />Police. <br />Section 3: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provision of <br />Resolution No. 2015 -026, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect. <br />Exhibit 2 <br />Resolution 2017 - <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />55A -9 <br />
