All grease fittings, plugs, etc, shall be replaced <br />unless otherwise indicated by the Engineer. Bearings shall be properly lubricated and bearing oil <br />reservoirs .aball drained for shipping an:d' installation. The Contractor shall. be responsible for filling <br />the bearing ail reservoir upon installation. Alf equipment shall be tagged with lnformatlon as to <br />whether or not bearing oil reservoirs were flflecl and what type of lubricant was used. <br />e, Rotor Balancing <br />1, All raters of motors rated at.50 HP/3600l1300. RPM and above shall be dynarriieafly balanced,. with <br />the rotor running at rated speed where practical, but not less than 600 RPM ir7 thebalance stand. <br />The: balancing speedshall alab be rapid enough so the ba.lamce mane sensitivity can reliably <br />measure the maximum allowable residua! imbalance. <br />2. A printout tape from the balance/analyzer shall be furnished d'etalling the final balance values. Vibration mils displacement shall be measured and <br />recorded in the horizontal, vertical and axial planes on both ends of the motor, or top and bottom of <br />vertical motors and documentation of current reading and vibration readings shall be provided to the <br />�ngireer. <br />2, A xKV meg-ohm motor shall be used to verify insulation continuity of all 4160V motors,. <br />i, Paint <br />1. Exterior of motorshall be properly cleaned of rust and foreign material, prime painted and finish <br />painted with a goad grade cif machinery enamel, the same color as. received unless otherwise <br />specified.. Nameplates, machined surfaces and internal parts shall be protected from paint. <br />
