NO. 6, 1 B) <br />— - C TICMANA(�',ER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 151 Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2ntl Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Valley <br />Maintenance Corporation to provide park restroom and park building custodial services at City <br />parks in an annual amount not to exceed $263,684, which includes a 10% contingency, for a two - <br />year term from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2019, with two, one -year renewal options. In <br />addition, the contract will include a start-up cost of $6,278 in the first year of the contract, for a <br />total cost of $1,061,014 over the term of the contract, including renewals, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) divides the city into four <br />maintenance districts. The PRCSA provides custodial services at park restrooms and at various <br />park buildings through a contractor. On March 8, 2017, PRCSA issued a Request for Proposal <br />(RFP) for custodial services, which was posted on PlanetBids. The Agency received two <br />proposals from interested companies. <br />An evaluation committee consisting of two representatives from PRCSA -Park Maintenance <br />reviewed and rated the proposals. The proposals were evaluated according to the criteria listed <br />in the RFP: references, fee and qualifications.
