Agreement Number: <br />AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT /SERVICES OR FOR <br />REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING COSTS <br />FOR FY2016 URBAN AREAS SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) <br />BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />AND CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 1st day of March 2017, by and between <br />the CITY OF ANAHEIM, a municipal corporation (the "CITY "), and CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />(the "SUB- RECIPIENT" or "Contractor'). <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, CITY, acting through the Anaheim Police Department in its capacity <br />as a Core City for the Anaheim /Santa Ana Urban Area under the FY16 Urban Areas <br />Security Initiative, has applied for, received and accepted a grant entitled "FY 2016 <br />Urban Areas Security Initiative" from the federal Department Of Homeland <br />Security(DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), through the State of <br />California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), to enhance countywide <br />emergency preparedness (the "grant "), as set forth in the grant guidelines and <br />assurances that are incorporated to this Agreement by reference and located at: <br />"U.S. Department of Homeland Security "Fiscal Year 2016 Homeland Security Grant <br />Program (HSGP) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)" https: / /www.fema.gov /media- <br />library-data/1455569937218- <br />3daa3552913b8affe0c6b5bc3b448635 /FY 2016 HSGP NOFO FINAL.pdf <br />California Office of Emergency Services "FY2016 Homeland Security Grant Program: <br />California Supplement to Federal Program Guidance and Application Kit" <br />htti): / /www.caloes.ca.aov /G rantsManagementSite /Documents /FY %202016 %20H S <br />G P %20 State %2OG u ida n ce. odf <br />Copies of the grant guidelines shall be retained in the Anaheim /Santa Ana Grant <br />Office. <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is administered by the CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />( "CITY ") and is overseen by the California Governors Office of Emergency Services <br />( "CalOES "); and <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is being provided to address the unique <br />equipment, training, planning, and exercise needs of large urban areas, and to assist <br />them in building an enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, respond to, and <br />recover from threats or acts of terrorism; and <br />55B -8 <br />
