ROOM 1600 <br />20 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA <br />SANTA ANA, CA <br />10:33 A.M. <br />ATTENDANCE APPLICANTS Present: <br />MICHAEL NESS, Applicant <br />STAFF Present: <br />CHRISTOPHER CARDINALE, Zoning Administrator <br />CANDIDA NEAL, Planning Manager <br />VINCE FREGOSO, Principal Planner <br />VERNY CARVAJAL, Principal Planner <br />LISA STORCK, Assistant City Attorney <br />SARAH BERNAL, Recording Secretary <br />1.MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2017-01 {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 3, 2} <br />The applicant spoke in support of the matter; stated that the height of proposed fence is <br />based on the scale of the home. <br />The following public comments were received: <br />Nancy Gallivan spoke in opposition of the matter; fence will obstruct view of the <br />property. <br />William Gallivan spoke in opposition to the matter; lives next door to the property; <br />fence creates a safety concern as it will block his view when backing out of his <br />driveway. <br />Alberta Christy spoke in opposition of the matter; fence ordinance should apply to <br />all residents. <br />Ed Tornell spoke in opposition of the matter; echoed concerns voiced by Mr. <br />Gallivan. <br />Michael Ness stated that he has attempted to work with Mr. Gallivan to address his <br />concerns. <br />Zoning Administrator Cardinale adopted Resolution No. 2017-02 approving Minor <br />Exception 2017-01 as conditioned.
