The Unitorm Relocation Assistance and Real Property <br />Acquisitions Policies Act of 1970 (Uniforr Act), or similar State Legislation and <br />em nent domain law of the State of California authorize purchase of private property for <br />public use and ensure that owners of real estate (real property) to be acquired are treated <br />fairly and consistently. <br />This Handbook provides a brief smumany of the City's acquisition procedures and <br />various laws it isnot intended to give a complete statement of all state or federal laws and <br />regulations pertaining to the purchase of your property for a public use, technical legal <br />definitions or any form of legal advice.
