Contract Award for Enclosed Cargo Trailers <br />June 20, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on March 15, 2017, on the City's online bid management <br />and publication system. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />25 Vendors were notified <br />5 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />1 Bid received <br />0 Bid received from a Santa Ana Vendor <br />The bid was opened on April 13, 2017 and evaluated. The bid received from CNC Trailers, Inc., <br />is responsive to the specifications and meets the City's requirements. The amount of $3,000 has <br />been included in the award amount to allow for any unanticipated charges. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #1 Community Safety, Objective #2 <br />(broaden communications, information sharing and community awareness of public safety <br />activities), and Objective #6 (enhance Public Safety integration, communications and community <br />outreach). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the FY 2015 UASI Cal OES Santa Ana fund (12514407-66400- <br />16423001182-3492). Funding is available in FY 2017-18. The cities of Santa Ana and Anaheim <br />alternate the administration of the UASI grant on behalf of the other cities in the County.
