I. INTRODUCTION / PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />Nature of Worlc: <br />The City of Santa Ana is seeking HVAC Replacement at SARTC, A detailed Scope of Work <br />is included in the Appendix of this RFP as Attachment 1, <br />Number of Proposals and Signature: <br />Four hard copies and one (1) digital file on labeled USB Flash Drive (or equivalent) of your <br />proposal shall be signed by a company official with the power to bind the company and <br />submitted to the City of Santa Ana. One (1) copy of your Fee Proposal shall be submitted. <br />The Statement of Qualifications shall be limited to a maximum of (10) double -sided pages <br />(excluding front and back covers, section dividers and attachments such as resumes, forms). <br />Font size shall be minimrum 11 -point Arial, Proposal exhibits shall be maximum 11" x 17". <br />Proposal Evaluation and Ratin : <br />The criteria for evaluating the proposals submitted will take the following items into <br />consideration: <br />• Firm/Team Experience <br />20% <br />• Understanding of Need <br />15% <br />• Relevant Project Experience <br />20% <br />• Schedule <br />20% <br />• References <br />15% <br />• Fee* <br />10% <br />* Fee is a weighted consideration for award. However, it is not the only consideration. <br />The City has established a proposal review committee to evaluate proposers based on the <br />response to the RFP, which includes adherence to outlined directions and format, and the <br />City evaluation criteria set forth above, A final score will be calculated for each submitted <br />proposal and used to rank the proposers, <br />Prevailing Wage: The Director of Industrial Relations has determined that labor services performed <br />on projects under this contract are subject to prevailing wage. <br />• No contractor or subcontractor maybe listed on a bid proposal for a public works project <br />(submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial <br />Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this <br />requirement for bad purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)] <br />• Under the provisions of SB854 the City of Santa Ana may not accept a bid from, or enter <br />into a contract for any public work with any contractor not currently registered with the <br />DIR.
