2013-18 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center <br />Youth Employment Program - WIOA Proposal <br />Accounting Clerk- Veronica Maldonado has been working at OCCTAC for four years. Prior <br />to working at OCCTAC, she worked at Digital Spectrum Solutions for 9 years as an <br />accounting clerk and 3 years at Towne Inc. Her 12 years of experience in Accounting <br />include: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and $12.OM Accounts reconciliations, <br />Mass Merchant experience: price protection, marketing and co-op program monies, RTV <br />deduction, research analysis & problem solving payment data issues, MAS90, EDI, and <br />QuickBooks accounting software experience. Time allocation for this program is 23%- see <br />budget narrative. <br />c. INIOA-Program Coordinator— Will hold a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or related <br />field. They will have 3 years of experience working with transitional age youth (16-24) and <br />minimum one year of experience working with youth with disabilities. Coordinator will <br />work closely with the Case Manager in order to evaluate the youth for needs and allocate <br />supportive services. Coordinator will assure that WIOA staff are meeting goals with youth, <br />plan program year according to the 14 program elements in W10A Directive. Time <br />allocation for this program is 63%- see budget narrative. <br />WIOA-Case Manager— Will hold a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or related field. <br />They will have 3 years of experience working with transitional age youth (16-24) and <br />minimum one year of experience working with youth with disabilities. Case Manager will <br />work closely with the youth in order to plan a program around their needs and assist them <br />in achieving their goals. Time allocation for this program is 88% - see budget narrative. <br />e. Career Counselor— Will hold a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or related field. They <br />will have 3 years of experience working with transitional age youth (16-24) and minimum <br />one year of experience working with youth with disabilities. The career counselor must <br />also have experience working with the different academic levels of 9th grade to 2nd year of <br />college. The career counselor will assist youth with career exploration and provide <br />academic support in order to help achieve performance goals. Time allocation for this <br />program is 63%- see budget narrative. <br />f. Arts/Technology Mentor— Arts and technology mentor will teach and mentor youth that <br />are exploring their interests in the fields of art and technology. They are required to have <br />some college education and have a job in the field of arts and technology. Time allocatior <br />for this program is 30 %- see budget narrative. <br />g. The Literacy/Math Tutor/Coach —The literacy/math tutor will provide one-on-one <br />tutoring sessions in the area of Literacy and/or Math. The main role of the tutor will be to <br />facilitate learning through effective guidance and coaching in order to aid the student in <br />becoming a successful, independent learner in the subject matter. The purpose of tutoring <br />sessions will be to increase and enhance mastery of grade -level reading comprehension <br />skills, writing abilities and math.
