Ripon <br />KDC Inc. dba Dynalectric Los Alamitos <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Public Works Water Resources Division manages and maintains the daily operations of a <br />water system with 7 pump stations, 20 wells, and 8 reservoirs. These operations require industrial <br />control panels to provide pre-programmed, automated functions that allow each station to operate <br />without continual operator interaction. These control panels allow the water system operators to <br />monitor for abnormalities, check system status, and manage the water system more effectively. <br />Approval of these contracts will allow the Water Resources Division staff to replace aging control <br />panels on an as -needed basis. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on June 7, 2017, on the City's online bid management and <br />publication system. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />359 Vendors notified <br />7 Santa Ana vendors notified <br />24 Vendors downloaded bid packet <br />8 Bids received <br />Bids were opened on June 28, 2017, and evaluated (Exhibit 1). The bids received from the <br />recommended vendors are responsive to the specifications and meet the City's requirements. Staff <br />recommends awarding contracts to the three lowest bidders to allow for competitive quotes on any <br />given job. A purchase order in the amount of $31,779.67 will be issued to ACS Engineering Inc. for <br />22B-1 <br />
