Many artist travel to Los Angeles, known as the mural capital of the world because <br />of its abundance and embracement to public murals. Therefore, I am confident that by <br />granting me the ability to create a Wall structure and curating the artist who will paint on <br />this space will create a bridge between Santa Ana and its artist community. <br />Type of Application:: <br />Artist based in Santa Ana <br />Need:: <br />$5000 <br />am applying for:: <br />Equipment <br />Materials & Supply <br />If other please state below:: <br />Artist Statement: <br />am originally from Los Angeles, California and relocated 4 years ago to Santa Ana. <br />Within the last 4 years I have established myself as a local Muralist participating in <br />varies Community projects as well as private commissioned murals. My work can be <br />seen in different context, anywhere from a community garden piece for a Non-profit to a <br />high-end City licensed Dispensary. I feel with my qualifications and portfolio of work I <br />will be an asset to this project and strengthen identity of Santa Ana as a regional center <br />for the arts. <br />Narrative for proposed use of funds:: <br />With this grant my plan is to purchase wood,building materials and tools to make a <br />mobile wall. Along with a monthly budget of paint and materials to be used towards <br />creating a mural once a month and workshops for the youth interested in muralism. <br />Equipment to document projects and create time lapse to promote on social media and <br />website. <br />Supplemental Question 1:Please describe any additional City of Santa Ana <br />resources required for your project (permits, public space, licenses etc.)?: <br />Access to the French plaza off fourth st. and bush where workshops can be held during <br />the monthly artwalk in Santa Ana. <br />Supplemental Question 2: Is this a new or existing program/project?: <br />This a new project. <br />Supplemental Question 3: How will the proposed project be presented or shared <br />with the public?
