MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE YOUTH, EDUCATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES COUNCIL COMMITTEE <br />April 24, 2017 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting convened at 7:20 p.m. at Santa Ana City Hall Ross Annex Room 1600; 20 <br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California 92702. <br />ATTENDANCE <br />Council members Present Juan Villegas <br />Jose Solorio <br />David Benavides <br />Staff Present: Robert Cortez, Acting City Manager <br />Gerardo Mouet, Executive Director PRCSA <br />Jeannie Jurado, Community Services Manager <br />Ron Ono, Administrative Services Manager <br />Jorge Garcia, Sr. Management Assistant CMO <br />Ruben Ibarra, Lieutenant SAPD <br />Juan Lara, Community Services Supervisor <br />Hiram Uribe, Graphic Designer <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />o Karla Juarez — Would like to see the agenda published in Spanish. <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br />APPROVAL OF COMMUNITY SERVICES COUNCIL COMMITTEE MINUTES <br />o Community Services Council Committee Minutes of March 27, 2017 was <br />reviewed and approved as presented. <br />o Motion by: Councilmember Solorio Second by: David Benavides <br />■ Motion approved. <br />2. SANTA ANA THRIVE CLT UPDATE <br />o Acting City Manager Cortez indicated the item was presented to City <br />Council on December 6, 2017 and is pleased to have Nancy Mejia present <br />an update. <br />o Nancy Mejia explained how the Community Land Trust (CLT) works, <br />whereby an agency, governed by a Board of Directors holds public land <br />and decides the transfers the land for development. The Board was <br />established last year and has identified the following three committees; <br />Youth, Rec. & Comm. Svs. Committee Mtg Page 1 April 24, 2017 <br />13C-3 <br />
