Authorize a one-time purchase and payment of purchase order to Leed Electric, Inc., for the <br />installation of a Murphy Control System in an amount not to exceed $76,500, subject to <br />nonsubstantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />2. Reject the bid from GI Endurant, LLC, as nonresponsive. Vendor did not include all required <br />documents in the bid. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Public Works Water Resources Division manages and maintains the daily operations of the <br />City's water systems that deliver an average of 30 million gallons of potable water each day to City <br />residents and businesses. To maintain uninterrupted water service to our customers in the event of <br />power outages or emergencies, the Water Resources Division staff employs various strategies, <br />including the operation of a large natural gas -fueled water pump motor. The existing automated <br />industrial controls for this equipment, known as murphy control systems, are obsolete and in need of <br />replacement. Approval of the recommended action will allow the replacement of all related industrial <br />control equipment necessary to keep this water pump and motor operational. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on June 27, 2017, on the City's online bid management and <br />publication system. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />323 Vendors were notified <br />37 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />3 Bids received <br />0 Bids received from Santa Ana vendors <br />2213-1 <br />
