jmf 8-9-17 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-056 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET <br />TO ADD A CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR POSITION IN <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines, <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. On July 5, 2017, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS - <br />2919, establishing the City's Budget and authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year <br />2017-2018. The Ordinance sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation <br />of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council. <br />B. The Executive Director of the Public Works Agency proposes adding one <br />full-time position, Contracts Administrator, to the Public Works Agency budget as a <br />representative who will be the liaison between the City, Contractors, and the Unions and <br />will respond to inquiries, monitor compliance, develop and implement programs. <br />C. It is now desired to amend the Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 in order <br />to effect this change, as shown below. <br />Section 2. Ordinance No. NS -2919, the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2017- <br />2018, shall be amended by adding the full time position of Contracts Administrator in the <br />Public Works Agency, at the monthly seven -step salary rate range as indicated: <br />7 -Step Salary Rate Range Effective 07/01/16 <br />Monthly Salary <br />Classification Title SSR Minimum -Maximum <br />Contracts Administrator 655 $5114 - $6852 <br />Section 3. All salary rate range classifications are set forth in the City's "Salary <br />Schedule" as periodically updated. <br />Section 4. Except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of <br />Ordinance No. NS -2919 setting forth the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-18 shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />Resolution 2017-056 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
