CU x{12 EN T N-2016-092-01 <br />INSURANCE MON EPEE <br />WORK MAY NOT PROCEED <br />69) CLERK Of COUNCIL <br />DATA:� 1 25A, <br />0' PRCS { J) AI&T AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />WITH WEST HARTFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY <br />Silvia Cuevas INCORPORA'T'ING INSTITUTE OF MUSEUM AND <br />LIBRARY SERVICES (IMLS) LEADERSHIP GRANT REQUIREMENTS <br />THIS 'FIRST AMENDMENT to the above -referenced agreement is entered into this F Vii=' flay of <br />August 2017, by and between West Hartford Public Library, a public entity ("Consultant"), and <br />the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation organized and existing under the <br />Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"). <br />RECITALS <br />A. The parties entered into Agreement #N-2015-092, dated December 1, 2014 ("Agreement"), <br />by which Consultant agreed to collect and archive community memories from new <br />immigrants to the community for the Memories of Migration project to which the City had <br />received grant funds from the 2014 Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services <br />(IMLS) National Leadership Grant Program, <br />B, The original compensation of the Agreement for services provided by the Consultant was listed <br />at $21,870. The Consultant is listed as providing cost sharing funds in the amount of $21,860. <br />C. In addition, per diem funds at the amount of $71.00 per day for up to seven (7) days were <br />subject to reimbursement upon submittal of receipts to the City. <br />D. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement, the parties desire to amend and <br />replace Sections 2a and 21) regarding the compensation axrounts of the Agreement to clarify the <br />amount of the grant funds received and include additional funding in the amount of $497 for <br />services rolated_to material and travel to cover grant related,purposes including any per diem costs, <br />The total amount of compensation shall now be $22,357, <br />E. Grant recipients have the ability to adjust line item amounts in the budget for services under <br />Section 2b with the written approval of the City's Executive Director of the Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Agency, so long as the total combined amount of the line items for these <br />services does not exceed more than 10% of the Grant's budget, The additional amount required <br />for this Amendment will not exceed this cap. <br />The Parties therefore agree, <br />Section 2a, Compensation, is amended to read as follows: For the services provided, West <br />Hartford. Public Library will receive a total of Twenty-two Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty - <br />Seven Dollars ($22,357.00). West Hartford Public Library will receive $21,860 for which the <br />largest portion of the grant funds will provide salaries for the Interns and Teen Historians. <br />West Hartford Public Library will provide $21,870.00 in cost sharing as required by the budget <br />approved by IMLS. The City shall also pay reasonable travel costs (limited to transportation, <br />airfare and lodging, if any) for Consultant to perform its services pursuant to this Agreement; <br />no travel costs will be reimbursed to the Consultant as the City will be paying such listed costs <br />directly. <br />
