Approval of <br />Construction Engineering Services for the Walnut Pump Station Building Upgrade project is <br />recommended to augment staff and properly manage construction, meet agency goals, and <br />deliver the projects in a cost effective and timely manner. <br />The Walnut Pump Station is located north of Santa Ana High School near First Street and <br />Flower Street (Exhibit 1). This facility is integral to the City's potable water distribution system <br />and is vital in ensuring safe and reliable drinking water for city residents. The Walnut Pump <br />Station project is currently under construction and has a construction value of $3.6 million. <br />Improvements include pump station building enclosures, piping, plumbing, structural, <br />mechanical, and electrical work. Once completed, the Walnut Pump Station will provide <br />reliable water supply to the City, and facility modernizations will enhance the aesthetics of the <br />surrounding area. <br />251-1 <br />
