Not only do they face the stigma of having a parent who is incarcerated, but they often live in impoverished conditions where they are more likely to be exposed to gangs, drugs and other illegal activities. Brighter Futures is a holistic and comprehensive program that provides children and families with education and resources to build their confidence, stay motivated for the future, and break the cycle of poverty and incarceration. For over 13 years, Brighter Futures for Children of Prisoners has served vulnerable Orange County children and their families, inspiring and empowering them to work hard, set and achieve their goals, and break the cycle of poverty and incarceration. Program activities and components are offered throughout the year on the following schedule: • One -on -One Mentor Meetings & Outings: 3-4 meetings per month for a total of 8 hours • STEM Workshops: Quarterly • College Is for Me Too!
