REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2017 <br />TITLE: <br />APPROVE A MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CITY OF <br />GARDEN GROVE RELATED TO THE <br />WILLOWICK GOLF COURSE <br />LOCATED AT 3017 W 5T" STREET <br />CI NAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 1$' Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2 n Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Santa Ana and the City of Garden <br />Grove related to the Willowick Golf Course property located at 3017 W 5th Street. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City of Garden Grove owns the property at 3017 W 5th Street in the City of Santa Ana. <br />Currently that property is utilized as a municipal golf course known as Willowick Golf Course. <br />Over the years, the cities of Garden Grove and Santa Ana has discussed various redevelopment <br />options for the site. <br />The proposed Memorandum of Understanding would formalize the mutual interest of both entities <br />to discuss redevelopment options for the site and does not create a contractual obligation for <br />either party. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with the item. <br />25A-1 <br />
