On <br />August 3, 2009, Council approved agreement A-2009-118 with GeoSpatial Technologies, Inc. to <br />license the CrimeMap system and provide software maintenance and support. On April 7, 2015, <br />City Council approved agreement A-2015-043 to provide CrimeMap system licensing and <br />software maintenance/support for the period of April 7, 2015 through August 2, 2017. The Santa <br />Ana Police Department wishes to execute a new one-year agreement with GeoSpatial <br />Technologies, Inc. for a total not to exceed $10,500. <br />The CrimeMap software is proprietary and owned by GeoSpatial Technologies, Inc. and can only <br />be serviced by this company. The Police Department has a separate agreement with GeoSpatial <br />Technologies for the maintenance and support Department's automated vehicle location system <br />in the .amount of $25,898. The recommended action will allow for continuous service to the <br />Santa Ana Police Department. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #1 Community Safety, Objective #3, Promote <br />fiscal accountability to ensure financial responsibility at all levels of the organization, Strategy 3a, <br />Continuously evaluate and assess fiscal aspect of service delivery to ensure that the Police <br />Department provides programs and services efficiently and effectively. <br />25D-1 <br />
