Santa Ana Kiwanis Club Foundation in support of the holiday event for needy <br />children for the holiday season, in a one-time donation amount of $500 <br />(Councilmember Solorio); <br />i. Ser -Jobs for Progress of Orange County in support of the Santa Ana League of <br />United Latin American Citizens for on-going youth program services, in a one-time <br />donation amount of $500 (Councilmember Solorio); <br />j. Te-Kenjutsu-Kan-Do Organization to support the 15th Annual Adlawan Cup Food <br />Drive Karate Championships, in the amount of $500 (Councilmember Solorio); <br />k. Centro Cultural de Mexico of Orange County to support Noche de Altares event, in <br />a one-time donation amount of $800 (Councilmember Benavides); <br />I. Charitable Ventures of Orange County in support of the Wilshire Square <br />Neighborhood Association's Annual Holiday Parade, in a one-time donation amount <br />of $500 (Councilmember Villegas); <br />m. Delhi Center in support of the Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership program, <br />in a one-time donation amount of $500 (Councilmember Villegas); <br />n. Makara Center of the Arts in support of the literacy program for youth, in a one-time <br />donation amount of $750 (Councilmember Villegas); <br />o. Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County for on-going services to provide dental <br />services to children in Santa Ana, in a one-time donation amount of $1,000 <br />(Councilmember Tinajero). <br />DISCUSSION <br />On August 4, 2015, City Council adopted Resolution 2015-042, establishing a City Special Event <br />Sponsorship Policy and Guidelines for Disbursement of Discretionary Funds. This resolution and <br />policy outlines the eligibility criteria for neighborhood associations and eligible non-profit entities <br />for consideration of City Council sponsorship. <br />In accordance with this policy, each Councilmember is allowed to appropriate up to $10,000 per <br />fiscal year to support eligible organizations, including neighborhood associations and non-profit <br />organizations. Eligible organizations that are not tax exempt under section 501(c)3 of the Internal <br />Revenue Code are eligible for in-kind funding for City Services. <br />29A-2 <br />
