STAFF COMMENTS <br /> <br /> Planning Manager Neal: <br /> General Plan Update Status – Announced the General Plan Advisory meeting was held <br />on July 19, 2017 and will not meet in August. <br /> California Lodge Hotel Update – Announced there will be a major code enforcement <br />effort on July 25 with all code enforcement officers participating along with <br />representatives from the Police Department and will provide an update at the next <br />meeting. <br /> Noted at a future meeting staff will bring a request to amend the zoning code so that <br />the responsibility for historic preservation issues be presented to the Historic <br />Resources Commission for action. <br /> <br />7. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Mendoza: <br /> Expressed concern on entertainment permits and possibly have a discussion to set a <br />precedence for future requests in order to be fair to all business owners. <br />Vice Chair McLoughlin: <br /> Requested that the meeting be adjourned in honor of Charlene Hanson, a 71 year old <br />postal worker, who served the Floral Park neighborhood and other neighborhoods for <br />many years. <br />Commissioner Bacerra: <br /> Thanked Verny Carvajal on all his work with the General Plan Advisory Group and <br />keeping them on track. <br />A-4
