MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE YOUTH, EDUCATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES COUNCIL COMMITTEE <br />July 24, 2017 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting convened at 5:31 p.m. at Santa Ana City Hall Ross Annex Room 1600; 20 <br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California 92702. <br />ATTENDANCE <br />Council members Present Juan Villegas (Chairperson) <br />Jose Solorio (Vice Chair) <br />David Benavides <br />Staff Present: Cynthia Kurtz, Interim City Manager <br />Gerardo Mouet, Executive Director PRCSA <br />Robert Cortez, Deputy City Manager <br />Jeannie Jurado, Community Services Manager <br />Ron Ono, Administrative Services Manager <br />Jorge Garcia, Sr. Management Assistant CMO <br />Enrique Marban, Community Services Supervisor <br />Hiram Uribe, Graphic Designer <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />o Gil Salmon — Resident of Heninger Park indicated his neighborhood is the <br />densest community in the city and there are no parks. He needs to drive to <br />other communities to visit a park. Heninger Elementary School would be a <br />good joint use opportunity for a park in his community. Can you look into <br />providing a park for the neighborhood? <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br />1. APPROVAL OF COMMUNITY SERVICES COUNCIL COMMITTEE MINUTES <br />o Community Services Council Committee Minutes of April 24, 2017 was <br />reviewed and approved as presented. <br />o Motion by: Councilmember Benavides Second by: Solorio <br />• Motion approved unanimously. <br />2. NEW PARK PROJECTS UPDATE <br />o Public Comment on agenda item. <br />• Barbara Lamere — Resident of Windsor Park Neighborhood indicated <br />concern of losing a part of Centennial Park to Rancho Santiago <br />College.
