Exhibit 2 <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND <br />THE SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />(24 CFR Parts 91 and 576) <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THS EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is entered into this day of November, 2017, by and <br />between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"), <br />and the Santa Ana Police Department ("Subrecipient"). <br />RECITALS <br />A, On July 1, 2017, the City entered into art Emergency Solutions Grant Memorandum of <br />Understanding #A-2017-072-05 with the Santa Ana Police Department to provide Emergency <br />Funds from the United States Department of Housing and urban Development GIUD) to be <br />used in the operation of an emergency solution program for the homeless or at risk of <br />homelessness of the City of Santa Ana ("said Agreement"). <br />B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties desire to amend to <br />increase funds to the Subrecipient, which need to be spent by lune 30, 201,8, _ <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terms and conditions of said Agreement, except as herein modified, the parties agree as follows; <br />1. Paragraph 5, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by $2,500.00 in <br />additional Outreach Funds for the Plaza of the Flags Project. The new total sum shall not <br />exceed $47,654:00=in grant funding. <br />2. Section I, subsection A, shall be amended to add the specific tasks required of the new funds <br />to purchase bus tickets and EZ Up Canopy for outreach services in the Civic Center, as <br />detailed in the Scope of Services attached hereto as .Exhibit A and incorporated herein by <br />reference. <br />3. Section 1Il, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by $2,500.00, for a total <br />sum not to exceed $47,654.00. Subrecipient's budget for these new funds is attached hereto <br />as Exhibit B and incorporated herein by reference. <br />4. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged <br />and in full force and effect. <br />25A-15 <br />
