The following spoke on the <br />matter. <br />• Al Parajeckas, on behalf of the Penske Auto Group, shared their <br />support in youth programs in the City and opined the auto mall sign is <br />antiquated and in need of refurbishment. <br />• Rod Wilson, expressed gratitude for all the work performed on the <br />proposed ordinance; opined that amendments would generate <br />increased sales for the auto mall and sales tax for the City. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Martinez closed the Hearing. <br />Councilmember Benavides, supports matter as economic development <br />opportunity; win for the community as well. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento, strategically located site that has allowed it to <br />be one of the highest grossing auto malls in the country. <br />Councilmember Solorio, expressed strong support for item <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 12 NOVEMBER 7, 2017 <br />
