The report includes <br />tasks, next steps, outcomes, and percentage completed for each project. <br />The CIP Executive Summary Schedule is available on the City's website at: <br />http://santa-ana/pwa/documents/ExecutiveMonthIvCI PU pdateNovember2017. pdf <br />The following remarks are provided to note significant issues related to CIP projects: <br />Washington Elementary Safe Route to School Improvements <br />In November of 2017, the City completed installation of a new traffic signal at Flower Street and Anahurst <br />Place. This project was developed with input and support from the Memorial Park Neighborhood and <br />Santa Ana Unified School District. Project amenities included left turn arrows to the signal at Flower <br />Street and Warner Avenue, and construction of curb bulb -outs at Anahurst Place and Garnsey Street to <br />allow for safer crossing of the intersection. The design and construction were completed using grant <br />funds from the State's Active Transportation Program. Following completion of the project, the City held a <br />"signal turn -on" ceremony which was attend by Councilmember Sarmiento, parents and students from <br />Washington Elementary, and neighborhood representatives, as well as staff from SAUSD and the City. <br />Westminster Rehabilitation from Harbor to Fairview <br />The City's Pavement Management System has identified Westminster Avenue from Harbor Boulevard to <br />Fairview Street as a priority for rehabilitation to prevent further deterioration of the pavement due to <br />weather, age, and heavy usage. In October of 2017, the City submitted a funding request to use SB1 <br />funds (Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017) for Westminster Avenue Rehabilitation from Harbor to <br />Fairview. Design is complete and this shovel ready project will be advertised in early 2018 following <br />adoption of eligible SB1 funds projects by the CTC. <br />1901-1 <br />
