Approve a Resolution and Appropriation Adjustment <br />Recognizing the American Library Association Grant Funds <br />For the Libraries Ready to Code Program <br />December 5, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />terms of the Grant, the City needs to execute certain certifications, assurances, and other <br />documents. Staff is requesting that the City Council authorize the Executive Director of the Parks, <br />Recreation and Community Services Department to execute those certifications, assurances and <br />other documents necessary to comply with the terms of the Grant and submit documents in a <br />timely manner. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #2 – Youth, Education and Recreation, Objective <br />#2 (Expand youth programming), Strategy A (Focus resources on quality youth engagement, civic <br />awareness, enrichment and educational programs (i.e. youth camping trips) and expand after- <br />school programs during out-of-school hours at the library and community centers.). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The appropriation adjustment will recognize $25,000 in grant funding from the American Library <br />Association in the Public Library Grant revenue account (15211002-52040), and appropriate the <br />same to the Libraries Ready to Code expenditure account (15211151 -various) in Fiscal Year <br />2017/2018. <br />�—erardo Mouet <br />xecutive Director <br />Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency <br />EXHIBITS: 1.
