APPROVE A TWO-YEAR EXTENSION OF THE SOLID WASTE SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT, APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT, AND REVIEW <br />THE DRAFT SOLID WASTE SERVICES REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />{STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 4, 1} – Public Works Agency <br /> <br />Continued from the November 7, 2017 City Council meeting by a vote of 7-0 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: <br /> <br /> <br />1. Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute the <br />proposed Extension of the Fourth Amended and Restated Agreement for <br />Collection and Handling of Solid Waste with Waste Management Collection <br />and Recycling, Inc. (dba Waste Management of Orange County), extending <br />the expiration date to June 30, 2020, with provision for a one-year renewal <br />exercisable by the City Manager and the City Attorney, and including the <br />implementation of programs addressing the unfunded legislative mandates <br />in California State Assembly Bills 1826 and 341, subject to non-substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (AGMT. No. 2017- <br />XXX). <br /> <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustments. (Requires five affirmative votes) <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT NO. 2018-048 - Approve an appropriation <br />adjustment appropriating $672,000 from prior year fund balance in the Refuse <br />Collection Enterprise Maintenance revenue account, and appropriating the same <br />amount into the Refuse Collection Service expenditure account. <br /> <br />3. Review the Draft Solid Waste Services Request for Proposals. <br /> <br /> <br />65B.
