Box 14184, <br />Orange, California 92863-1584, a public corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to <br />as "AUTHORITY"), and City of Santa Ana, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California 92701, a <br />municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the constitution and laws of the State of <br />California (hereinafter referred to as "CITY") each individually known as "PARTY" and collectively <br />known as "PARTIES." <br />RECITALS: <br />WHEREAS, AUTHORITY and CITY desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement to define <br />the roles and responsibilities related to funding between AUTHORITY and CITY for the final design <br />and construction of Bristol Street Protected Bicycle Lanes Project as defined in the scope of work <br />provided in the Bicycle Corridor Improvement Program 2016 Call for Projects, herein incorporated by <br />reference; (hereinafter referred to as "PROJECT"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Bicycle Corridor Improvement Program is funded with Congestion Mitigation <br />and Air Quality Improvement Program ("CMAQ") funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the CMAQ program is authorized under Fixing America's Surface Transportation <br />(FAST) Federal Transportation Act; and <br />Page 1 of 11 <br />L:\Camm\CLERICALkWORDPROC\AGREE\AG7186O.docx <br />
