ARTICLE III <br />3.0 ATTENDANCE, HOUR LIMITS, AND NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES <br />3.1 Attendance. Employees covered by this Agreement shall be in attendance at their <br />work during hours prescribed by the Executive Director or his/her designee(s) and <br />shall not absent themselves without approval of the Executive Director or his/her <br />designee(s). <br />3.2 Hour Limits. Persons appointed to a Part Time Civil Service position work an <br />average of 20-39 hours per week. <br />NOTE: Pay periods for Part Time Civil Service employees run from the lith of the <br />month, through the 25th of the same month, and from the 26th of the month <br />through the 10th of the following month. <br />3.3 Number of Employees The number of Part Time Civil Service positions during <br />the term of this Agreement shall not exceed: <br />o Fifteen (15) in the Library Department <br />o Ten (10) in the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department <br />o Twelve (12) in all other departments <br />Should an adjustment to these numbers be requested by either party during the <br />term of this Agreement, the parties agree to meet and confer regarding this matter. <br />3.4 Hourly Conversion Whenever reference is made to a required number of days; <br />months, or years for Full Time Civil Service employees in this Article, an <br />equivalent number of hours shall be substituted to satisfy an equivalent <br />requirement for Part Time Civil Service employees as defined in Section 3.2 of this <br />Agreement. <br />25K-8 <br />
