At the time the plan was <br />a requirement to secure a Caltrans award for two compressed natural gas energy efficient vehicles. <br />These vehicles are used by the City for the Senior Mobility Program. <br />The purpose of the Title VI plan is to show that the City assures that no person on the grounds of <br />race, color, sex, age, disability or national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of <br />1964, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 will be excluded from participation in, be denied <br />the benefits, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. <br />Caltrans has requested an updated Title VI plan and resolution authorizing the approval of the plan <br />by the City Council. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #5 - Community Health, Livability, Engagement & <br />Sustainability, Objective #6 (Focus projects and programs on improving the health and wellness of <br />all residents), Strategy E (Expand Senior Center programming to provide greater enrichment and <br />explore activities in art, culture and health). <br />FUNDING <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />55C-1 <br />
