Councilmember Benavides, noted City of Santa Ana has one business <br />improvement district and encouraged other businesses to come together to <br />improve their area to create quality destination for the community. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Martinez, asked staff clarification of source of funds for <br />program and noted parking revenue designated to be reinvested back in to <br />the downtown district. <br />Economic Development Manager Morley, noted funding generated from <br />parking revenue. <br />Councilmember Tinajero, noted great strides have been made in the <br />Downtown area. <br />MOTION: Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to <br />execute an agreement with Downtown Inc. (DTI) to provide an <br />additional $100,000 for a one-year period ending on December 31, <br />2018 for a total amount of $500,000, subject to non -substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.
