Scope of Services <br />,Y„ <br />Ak 1, <br />t <br />-0P. `nnvht <br />Appendix <br />ATTAbIMENT I <br />SCOPE OF WORK . <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />CENTER STREET URBAN GREENING <br />RFP NO.: 17-012 <br />Introduction and Baciciround: <br />The project is located in the central part of Santa Ana at Jerome Park. The park is bordered by <br />Monte Vista Avenue to the north, McFadden Avenue to the south, and bisected by Center Street <br />which runs north -south through the middle. <br />The portion of Center Street which runs between. Jerome Community Center and Monte Vista <br />Elementary School has been closed permanently and is where the project is to occur, This section <br />currently separates two sets of recreational ball fields, <br />The Scope of Work involves removal of approximately 33,000 square feet of asphalt paved street <br />and converting the area to passive landscaped open space. The project, as represented in the <br />concept plan and as outlined below under Consultant Responsibilities shall include the following <br />compolwats: <br />• Street removal and in£tll <br />s Grading <br />s Permeable walkway installation <br />• Construction of rock bioswale <br />California Friendly landscaping with drought tolerant properties <br />s Automatic drip irrigation system <br />s Site Amenities, including interpretive signage, benches, picnic tables, bike racks <br />s Drainage which utilizes "Low Impact Development' concepts with goal for full site <br />infiltration, <br />This project is funded with State of California, Natural Resources Agency grant finding, Total <br />Project Budget is approximately $500,000, which includes all Design and.
