Amend Agreement with CLR Design for Consultant Design Services <br />January 16, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br />The original Agreement for Zoological Design Services is $345,065. The additional architectural <br />design cost for the primate trail system and habitats is $134,760. If approved, the new contract <br />total would be $479,825 (Exhibit 1). <br />Concurrent with this effort, staff is seeking to secure grant funds to construct this project from the <br />State of California Land and Water Conservation Fund. Applications for Land and Water <br />Conservation Funding are due February 5, 2018, and a Council -approved resolution (Exhibit 2) is <br />required to submit the application. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 - Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (Establish and Maintain a Community Investment Plan for All City <br />Assets), Strategy G (Develop and Implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />Coordination with the Community Investment and Deferred Maintenance Plans). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $134,760 for the added scope of work are budgeted and available for <br />expenditure in FY 2017-18 in the Residential Development District 2 Acquisition and <br />Development Fund (Account No. 31213260-66220).
