APPROVE A TWO-YEAR EXTENSION OF THE CONSTRUCTION AND <br />DEMOLITION DEBRIS SERVICES AGREEMENTS {STRATEGIC PLAN <br />NO. 4, 1) -Public Works Agency <br />Mayor Pro Tem Martinez, consider reaching out to youth non-profit <br />organization that do this type of work and may be competitive. <br />Councilmember Solorio, asked that haulers deal with C & D use Madison <br />for processing as required by franchise; failure may reduce City revenue. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento, thanked staff for their work; expressed <br />concern of C & D piracy, necessity to be more vigilant, and loss of City <br />revenue. <br />MOTION: <br />1. Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to <br />execute the proposed Extension of the Agreement for Collection <br />and Handling of Construction and Demolition Debris with Waste <br />Management Collection and Recycling, Inc. (dba Waste <br />Management of Orange County, extending the expiration date to <br />June 30, 2020, at the current terms, with provision for a one-year <br />renewal exercisable by the City Manager and the City Attorney, <br />subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney. (AGMT. No. 2017-366) <br />2. Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to <br />execute the proposed Extension of the Agreement for Collection <br />and Handling of Construction and Demolition Debris with Ware <br />Disposal, extending the expiration date to June 30, 2020, at the <br />current terms, with provision for a one-year renewal exercisable <br />by the City Manager and the City Attorney, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City <br />Attorney.
