jmf 1/24/18 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />CALIFORNIA STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL <br />BOARD'S WATER RECYCLING FUNDING PROGRAM FOR <br />THE CITY'S RECYCLED WATER MASTER PLAN <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. The City of Santa Ana is working on developing a Recycled Water Master <br />Plan. <br />B. The California State Water Resources Control Board offers financial <br />assistance in the form of grant funding through its Water Recycling Funding Program for <br />this type of plan. <br />C. The maximum grant amount that the Water Recycling Funding Program may <br />award is $75,000 per application. <br />D. The Water Recycling Funding Program requires that at least half of the total <br />cost of the plan be provided by the requesting agency. <br />E. The City desires to fund part of the cost of the Recycled Water Master Plan <br />with grant funding from the State's Water Recycling Funding Program. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes and <br />directs the Executive Director of Public Works, or his or her designee, to sign and file, for <br />and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, a Financial Assistance Application for a grant <br />agreement from the California State Water Resources Control Board's Water Recycling <br />Funding Program for the Recycled Water Master Plan in the amount of $75,000. <br />Section 3. The Executive Director of Public Works, or his or her designee, is <br />designated to provide the assurances, certifications, and commitments required for the <br />financial assistance application, including executing a financial assistance agreement with <br />the State Water Resources Control Board and any amendments or changes thereto. <br />Section 4, The Executive Director of Public Works, or his or her designee, is <br />designated to represent the City of Santa Ana in carrying out the City's responsibilities <br />under the grant agreement, including certifying disbursement requests on behalf of the City <br />and compliance with applicable state and federal laws. <br />Resolullon No, 2018 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Exhibit 1 <br />55B-5 <br />
