It will not produce any new affordable housing or address the city's long- <br />term housing concerns. If adopted, it creates a stagnant market and increases the cost of housing for everyone else. <br />Worse, the unintended consequences are long-term and will eventually deteriorate the condition of housing since <br />rent control often times prevents the owner in making capital improvements on the property. <br />I appreciate the city's collaborative approach to provide meaningful, long-term solutions to our region's housing <br />challenges.
